Blavelers ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Blavelers mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By using Blavelers, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Blavelers is a travel platform built specifically for Black travelers, providing destination discovery, Black-owned business listings, AI-powered cultural guidance, group trip planning, and community features.

Information you provide directly:

Information collected automatically: We collect device information, IP address, location data (when you enable group map features), app usage data, and log information through our platform provider Base44.

Information from third parties: If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from those services.

We use your information to provide and improve the Blavelers service, including to:

• Create and manage your account and Diaspora Passport
• Power AI-generated cultural guidance, destination insights, and activity suggestions
• Enable group trip planning, real-time location sharing, and expense splitting
• Personalize your destination recommendations and travel feed
• Process subscription payments through Stripe and RevenueCat
• Send trip notifications, community updates, and marketing communications
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Analyze usage trends to improve features and performance
• Protect the security and integrity of our platform

We share information with the following service providers:

• Base44 — app hosting and infrastructure
• Stripe — web subscription payment processing
• RevenueCat — mobile subscription management
• Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchases
• Google — authentication and maps
• OpenAI / Anthropic — AI-powered features
• Travelpayouts — affiliate travel bookings
• OneSignal — push notifications

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer or acquisition.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is hosted on Base44's secure infrastructure with industry-standard encryption.

Travel documents stored in your account are treated with the highest level of security. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@blavelers.com.

In the event of a security breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Blavelers uses artificial intelligence to power cultural guidance, destination descriptions, activity suggestions, itinerary import, and personalized recommendations. These features are powered by OpenAI and Anthropic.

Our AI systems use your travel history, preferences, and app activity to personalize your experience. We use natural language processing and text analysis to generate relevant cultural content.

To opt out of AI-powered personalization, you may: update your preferences in account settings, contact us at privacy@blavelers.com, or request exclusion from AI processing at any time.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Travel documents stored in your account are deleted immediately upon account deletion. Community content such as forum posts may remain in anonymized form after account deletion.

Blavelers is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@blavelers.com and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Blavelers after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
